The number of people who committed suicide in 2020 is higher than those who lost their lives due to the killer Novel Corona virus and Covid-19. The National Crime Records Virus, a 2020 annual report by NCB in a row, revealed this alarming data. According to the report, an average of 418 people committed suicide every day in 2020.

The total number of suicides is 153,052. 1.49 lakh people have lost their lives due to killer courona virash. The number of suicides in 2020 is the highest as compared to the last 10 years. There are various reasons behind this suicide, there are different categories of people though the number of people who work daily is more.

According to reports, 37,666 daily workers have committed suicide in the year. The biggest tragedy faced by the Cofvid-19 lockdown nationwide was daily lost workers. The suicide rate has increased by 10 per cent during the epidemic. 

The number of day wage workers as well as housewives committing suicide has increased during the epidemic. Another reason is that the number of people who commit suicide due to disease is 17 per cent. That is, 27,632 people have chosen the path of suicide for this reason in 2020. The reason for suicide of 16,000 people is not known.

Similarly, the reason for suicide seperating 15,000 people is a fact. Men are more than women among those who commit suicide by looking at gender-based data. About 71 per cent of the total suicides are men. More than one lakh men have committed suicide while nearly 45,000 women have committed suicide. 22 third genders have also committed suicide during the epidemic. Epin is more than 8 per cent of the total suicide students. 12, 526 students have opted for suicide.

10,677 people associated with the agriculture sector have to take the path of suicide during the year. According to NCB data, The number of suicides in 2020 is 11.3 per cent in 2020 as compared to 2019. The rate was 11.3 per cent in 2020. It was 10.4 per cent in 2019. The highest number of total suicides was in the state. 19,909 committed suicide in the state. This was followed by 16, Tamil Nadu topped 883, Madhya Pradesh with 14,578, West Bengal by 13,103 and Karnataka with 12,259. According to the data, 5 per cent of total suicides due to marital reasons, 33.6 per cent for family-centric reasons, 18 per cent in insurance and 56.7 per cent for other reasons.
