One day at Nagaon paper mill on Jagiroad.

There's no engagement now. Only void in residential areas on both sides. Thinking about the future of the shankamaya, a question in the minds of anxious people is, what will happen to us? We spoke to over 50 people. I took a look at their minds. Once upon a time there was a paper town. The river was all.

The Nagaon paper mill on Jagiroad is now locked. People also had to punch their stomachs after they were locked in a suddenly closed paper mill. Time is now a strength for them. Fighting poverty is just waiting in hope or the day will come.

Sometimes the two have also chosen the path of suicide in extreme despair. They need good news. Otherwise the salaries to be paid and the pension money can go back home. For many that is their address. Where to leave Jagiroad? They have had time with a nightmare.

The leader made many announcements when the elections came. The dream of paper mills will run machines again. They are like desert sorcins. Now they are in search of vastu. Each one has the same words. It is better to take something if you get something than not getting anything. Then the government will do whatever it does.

The chief minister's announcement has brought some hope to the employees of paper mills in Nagaon and Kasa. The labour unions and officials associationof the two papers are already in talks with the chief minister and the Assam government in four rounds. A team of officials of the paper met the chief minister before officially holding talks with the chief minister. The two paper mills have officials and employees respectively, Paper Corporation Mazdoor Union, Paper Corporation Workers Union and another union of supervisors and officers.

These organisations have taken the demands of the employees of the two paper mills to the floor of the discussion but a specific solution has not yet been found. So far the employees of these two paper mills have not received 56 months salary. The condition of the employees has shifted from bad to bad day by day.

The employees will get only 24 months' salary even if the Assam government announces a relief package of Rs 570 crore for their temporary relief as per discussions with the employees of the two paper mills. The employees' union has also requested the government to pay their unpaid community money in this regard even though they have announced that their gratuity or other government employees will get the dues.

The entire matter is also under consideration of the court in parallel. Some union officials have alleged that the liquidator appointed by the government to auction the two paper mills has also taken a strategic stand in resolving the problems. The Delhi High Court has directed the Government of India to file a chargesheet by September 28, 2021 regarding re-operationalising the two paper mills.

The problem of employees of Hindustan Paper Corporation Limited, Kasar and Nagaon paper mills is yet to be said to have been resolved. The NCLAT is hearing in connection with these paper calls that killed 92 workers without pay. Former chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal had sent a letter to NCLAT that he would re-implement the paper mills but in the end he did not take any such action.

The Assam government has been consistently protesting against the initiative of JSCRU and INTC, a joint platform of central trade unions, to buy and re-operationalise the two paper mills. The demand that the government now accept stake disclaim is that a large number of workers of the paper mill want the government to take a decision on the two paper mills after getting their dues.

The inner part of the two paper mills is now a Nimaomao environment. There are no previous engagements or chlorine butts. The harsh sound of machines has rarely stopped at Jagiroad known as Paper Nagar. The two paper mills have closed production centres though the two paper mills have many properties of their own.

The labour unions leadership said the number of kasar employees will be 550 while the Nagaon paper mill has 580 officers. Meanwhile, there are two oil wells in the Hindustan paper mill premises in Kasar i.e. on the land owned by them.

There is also a conspiracy to sell these two paper mills in any way and sell it at water prices. Kuldeep Verma, a liquidator, is now looking forward to the green signal of NCLET only to complete the process. There are also many retired employees inside the paper mill.

On 29/05/2019, the NCLET had given that the two mills should be run by the government and the dues of the employees should be paid. The employees were asked to secure their future if the match was to be maintained by the third party. Accordingly an industrialist named Br Chethi was welcomed by the government for running the mill. A state minister also took special measures.

Paper producing machines of paper mill are still in a capable condition. According to employees this paper mill has been closed for mysterious reasons. The paper mill was closed on a direction coming from above while it was running suddenly while producing more production capacity than it had. The bargain for sale is now underway after a gobby conspiracy destroyed the future of the two paper mills in Assam.

The employees in the residenceof the paper mills have been ordered to vacate their residences. There has also been a hue and cry among the employees after such an order was issued suddenly. However some of them think that if the government gives some relief, they will take that relief package of the government and leave the awaas. It is yet to be confirmed how the packages will be given.

Its discussions are still going on at the preliminary stage. There have been differences of opinion among the employees in the midst of that discussion. There has also been a strong reaction to the chief minister's support during the talks with his hands raised while announcing the relife package.

An employee with the title Varman said we have lived like Vichu. Earlier there were jobs, people lent too. That's not the way it is now. How are you going? If the government gives something it will be the water given in our mouths at times of danger.

See what the union decides. Notices have come to vacate the house. However the local MLA has assured that the house should not be vacated during the talks. The two have gone to the house to be locked up in the same accommodation and cultivated. Someone opened the hetel nearby. It is unthinkable if this picture of misery does not go there.

There is no money in hand for treatment. Death has been called for without treatment. There is no end to everyone's problems. In such a situation, they are preparing to accept the proposals made by the government. The government has also taken advantage of this and wants to end the issue by paying employees 24 months salary instead of 57 months.

There is no rented house in Jagiroad anymore. Many families in the paper mill residents premises have set up rented houses near the city knowing in advance that the house should be vacated. But do you know that justice will be done to those people and their families if they want to leave the responsibility with a salary of a few months after not getting paid for 5 years?
